THE BORDER RENEGADES

Back in 1997, while participating in Tombstone's Helldorado Days celebration, a group of Southern California reenactors wanted to go in a different direction and formed the nucleus of a new group they called THE BORDER RENEGADES. Bill Lamb, Tom McCall, and Dave Kellerman were the three key people who came up with the name and logo, then proceeded to recruit a number of like minded people who were with them in Tombstone that year. Upon returning to California, they brought in a few more reenactors who were eager participate with them and they quickly saw how the group valued everyone's input putting shows together. The group over the years has performed throughout Southern California and Arizona, entertaining crowds with their unique brand of shows. They opened up the San Juan Capistrano Swallows Day parade for 10 years, riding horseback while firing blanks in the air to get the crowd excited for the days events. We were the resident Old West group for Banning Stagecoach Days for 11 years, performing shows through out the weekend celebration. We also have helped Banning's local historic site, the Gilman Historic Ranch and Wagon Museum, build up their annual Wild West Festival and LivingHistory Encampment with interactive 19th century demonstrations & performances that helped increase attendance each of the last 14 years. If you ever get a chance to see The Border Renegades perform, you will be treated to quite a show!
